How are you defining equal rights here?
The right to force other people to address you as you please violates the right to free speech.
The right to force businesses to serve you or hire you violates the right to property, labor, contract, and association.
So I ask again, how are you defining equal rights?

Conservatives live in terror of those they consider beneath them being treated as their equals. "Your equality interferes with my right to discriminate against you" pretty much sums up their mentality.
