Why did Charlie Sheen really get fired from TWO AND A HALF MEN--real answers please?

The show was already suspended whilst he had treatment for substance abuse. He started badmouthing his boss and demanded a pay rise. I guess despite the fact that he was, at the time, the highest paid actor, they had enough and decided to get rid of him.
