Are natural disasters punishment from God?
In the New Testament Jesus actually refers to a natural disaster that happened during His ministry. Christ alludes to a situation when 18 people died as a result of tower collapsing. He said, “those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? By no means!” (Luke 13:4-5) Here, Jesus reminds us those who suffer are not necessarily more sinful than those who don't.”
