Why isn't my Alcatel TCL LX not sending messages?
My parents bought me a Alcatel TCL LX for Christmas (from straight talk) and it was doing fine. But recently, I can send and call, but I have to restart it and when I get texts, I get them 5 days later. Can anyone offer me advice to fix this?

Try going into Settings then to Apps then scroll over to All and look for Messaging app then tap to open and tap Clear Data and Cache. Hopefully will work. Otherwise remove battery and put back in

Too confusing. First you tell us "Why isn't my Alcatel TCL LX not sending"
That is a double negative. You tell that you don't want it to send and it is.
Then you say "I can send and call" which means you do want to send and it does after a restart. Then you tell "when I get texts, I get them 5 days later" but you do get them. And you never tell if you ever called "straight talk" provider for any help that you already pay for.
