Do we really need both Uranus AND Neptune?

Why not nudge them together and make just one really big gas giant called Nepanus or Uratune.

They are practically identical and serve no useful purpose, we could even crash them into Jupiter, the result would be a bigger brighter Jupiter but it would at least clear some extra space and make the solar system a lot simpler to understand. Agree?

Because that would change the orbits of everything else, including Jupiter and Pluto and all the dwarf planets and the Milankovitch cycles, perhaps catastrophically. Besides, we don't have the technology to do that.

Well I think Uranus should be called Neptune, which it was at one stage, and Neptune something else, but apart from that nah. We're all gonna live on Neptune one day you know? After Venus is destroyed about a thousand million years from now.

Yes we do. Never know when you may need 'Gravitational Assist' for speed and directional changes for a space vehicle. Saves on fuel.

There is currently an excellent series of programmes of TV about the planets. Watch it (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07922lr) or buy the accompanying book (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Planets-Professor-Brian-C... OR https://www.amazon.com/Planets/dp/B07G4G5PSF/ref=s... and you'll why we NEED the other planets.

Hey - no more changes. The plans have been set and registered with the proper authorities. We did *one* change a while ago, and that was supposed to be the last one:

We'll be fined if we try to sneak in another one...

One day man will invent a giant boot, launch it, then literally kick anything out of the solar system we don't like.

Previously it were what you said but later on split up in to Uranus and Neptune and having one son call Pluto, but later on both of them deny Pluto.
