When getting a delivery from a appliance store, did you ever get a time?

In my relationship, I'm usually the one to wait for the deliveries. I also wait for the plumber, electrician, etc. I never get a specific time. My SO always asks if I got a specific time and then acts like I'm a pushover or loser when I don't.

Most of the time we get a 'window of time' for deliveries or other services. These workers go to their appointments, and sometimes they have no idea how long each service call is going to take.

If your SO knows so much, have him sit around and wait, i guess?

They usually give a range and come within that range.

For appliance/furniture deliveries, it's usually 2-4 hour time window but not a specific time. Sometimes they call/text when they're 30 minutes out to further narrow it down.

Yes, I often do get specific times for contractors but that's usually for getting an estimate. Specific times are not as common for getting the actual work/repair done unless you get the first appointment of the day.

I always got a 2 hour time frame, say between 8 and 10 am for morning deliveries but no I never got an exact time from any delivery or repair man or cable guy. they don't set specific times because they never know if their previous appointment will run longer or shorter than expected
