Should Fox go back to the old school way of World series announcing?
Imagine if Len Kasper of the Cubs was on Fox calling the final out of the 2016 WS. Like Harry Caray calling Bob Gibson's record breaking strikeout performance. Dick Stockton's call of Carlton Fisks HR in Game 6 at Fenway. Back in the day the WS was broadcasted by announcers from the home teams. This would be far better than having to listen to Joe Buck's generic calls.

Since Fox owns the US rights for the next decade don't expect any changes. Plus, Joe Buck worked for the Cardinals for years. If you want a local audio feed mute your TV and listen to your home team's radio (satellite radio offers both teams' feeds during the World Series). The last local announcer who could do national games without sounding like a homer was Vin Scully.

Joe Buck is a douchebag. Too much bias commentary during these baseball games. His football analysis isn't much better.

This is the best idea I've heard all year. Too bad it will not happen. They won't even give the home announcers an inning. Never mind the whole game.

Joe Buck is only in it for a paycheck. He couldn't care less about the teams, the players, or the fans.
His dad is a St. Louis Cardinals icon.
Joe Buck is a piece of sh!t.
That's why the Cards fired him.

I have mixed feeling about letting the regular or home team broadcasters call WS games, yes it would be good in that you would get more enthusiasm, but no in that many regular or home team broadcasters are 'homers" or in other words, many are very biased in favor of their home or regular team.

He's extremely knowledgeable and well-spoken, but in my opinion Mr. Kasper is a bore with no personality. But almost anyone is preferable to Mr. Buck.
