I trust them because I often watch or read about politics on the news TV and magazine respectively.

I do not trust them. You do not know what questions were asked or how many people were polled from either party.

I think the biggest mistake that the Democrats can make is to believe the polls. They need to campaign for every vote, and they need to reach out to non traditional or swing states. I also think they need to concentrate more on policies and what they will do for this country than the name calling childish behaviors of the two year old who currently resides in the white house.

They're interesting. I don't always follow them, however. I think some are rigged. What cracks me up is the story of recent firings of poll workers because someone didn't like numbers being leaked out.

This might be the only point where I agree with Trump. Polls are phony and totally unreliable. They are way too easily skewed and biased by the way the surveys are worded and taken. There is no way a small sampling for a population of roughly 400,000,000 Americans can properly reflect the feelings of the population.

Telephone polls, for example...who answers the phone? Someone who's home. Who's home during the workday? Someone who's not working because he/she's on vacation, sick, taking a day off, skipping work, or unemployed. So right away, a sampling taken by phone during the work day cannot possibly represent the entire population of the nation because those who are working that day are not represented in the sampling.
