Is shoving the referee in football allowed?

    Not in "football" who knows about soccer.

    No, as he is not playing the game. Otherwise ref's will be allowed to carry a 47 magnum and blow the head off the player. Makes for a more interesting game...in a video game. But in real life the player gets turfed out and fined and MORE.

    Only for some, the ref was worried about the race card being played.

    Red card and very often a multiple game suspension. In the US, laws exist which make legal punishment possible as well for assaulting a referee (depending on the extent the a 'push').

    I'm sure it's not and any player doing it should be red carded.
