Louisiana residents- selective military service? required for <26 yr olds?

I'm applying for school in Louisiana as an out of state applicant, and apparently there is a required act that I have to enlist in the selective military service if I end up enrolling in lousiana. I tried registering but I'm unable to do so (I'm 27 years old).

Does any residents personally know anything about this?

It’s national not just that state which requires it. Did you not register for the selective service when you were 18?

US FEDERAL law requires registration. An actual draft would require Congress to pass a new law authorizing a draft.

Every state told everyone they had to register at age 18 and that there coiuld be penalities if they didn't

like no federal or state student aid, no government jobs

some states mace it mandatory to go to their state universities

so to bad, you screwed yourself

Your lack of sentence structure leads me to believe you aren't a citizen of any state. All adult male citizens and immigrants between the ages of 18 and 25 must register for the selective service. This is basic information given out before high school graduation. If you don't qualify then you don't need to worry about it.
