My mother died over a year ago but is still appearing on Facebook as active. Can I get her off... how?

You can get her Account Deleted but you have to show Proof of Death tho

Well that would depend on whatever device she used to access Facebook & its status as being logged in. Of course the device and/or Facebook themselves wouldn't know her life status.

If by get her off you mean delete the account, then again you could do so yourself or have Facebook memorialise the account.
