What are those transparent plotting boards used by the Navy for navigation they'd often write on in grease pencils?

Just plexiglass or acrylic boards at one time but technology is such now that they have smart boards that are transparent and with the right set up anything you can enter into a computer can then be shown up on those smart boards and grease pencils are used less often now and instead dry erase markers for adding any additional data on them or showing something else besides what they enter through their terminals.

I have a funny story to relate about that also. Back in 1999 when we were dealing with Milosevic in Kosovo I was working what was called the Glass Room. We had just installed all these new smart "white" boards that interacted with our terminals and the various programs for tracking and planning air ops and aerial refueling ops for that region and getting weapons and troops to the fight there. We all had difficulty with that new technology and working with it and being able to get it to show what we needed to show on those boards. Luckily we had not thrown out the old grease boards yet and so we pulled them out and did it the old fashion way till our understanding and skill with the new technology improved.

We called them moboards, which is short for maneuvering board. They can be on paper, or plexiglass, or anything else you can write on.
