Is it illegal to spit in someone's food in Indiana?

I keep seeing all of these videos of people licking ice cream or back-washing tea, spitting it back into the container and putting it back on the shelf. I can't find any solid evidence that it's illegal here. Any insight would be appreciated.

You can't find any solid evidence? What do you expect, a written law that says "licking ice cream and putting it back on the shelf" is a crime? How about licking apples, do you think that would be a separate law? And another one for lettuce?

Laws aren't written that way. Instead, you can read about "tampering with consumer product" (20 years in prison), or "criminal mischief", or perhaps "assault" (because your spit is meant to touch somebody).
