I’m going into high school, and I’m so nervous. I’m worried I won’t find friends. Tips?

i was literally the exact same way! you don't have to make an immediate good impression on everybody, it took me two years to make a lot of friends, actually. join some clubs, being in the band or a sports team is really good, etc. or, learn to be comfortable and confident with being shy. it sounds weird, but being ok with being the resident quiet kid in every class gives you some kinda status in a lot of classes, and people start to approach you! (maybe this isnt universal, but it works for me lolll) if you don't like the people at your school, turn to social media. fan accounts, art accounts, etc. are all a really fun way to make friends.

I was literally like the most popular guy at the second high school that I went too. I’m telling you there’s no reason to be nervous. You can make friends as long as you put in the effort and talk to people. If you’re alone for a while it’s really no big deal just try to call someone during lunch time and talk on the phone or act like it if you want but that’s not even fully necessary. I think you will make friends.

Spread the word that you’re easy. You’ll be extremely popular. That only works if you’re a girl or a gay guy.

If you’re a guy, better hop that you’re really good in sports.

You’ll find friends even if it’s not on the first day, school isn’t just about friends. You might find your friends after 2 weeks, or a month or a year, you can’t really expect much from your first day. Just be yourself and you’ll find your true friends
