Why does mud/ dirt snow build up excessively on my honda crv?

Update:

In the winter snow packs in so tight its hard to move a steering is difficult. The clearance between the rim and caliper is very small. We have two of these (2003 and 2004) and both do it. Factory rims.Local mechanics say thats just the way it is but we live in a rural area and not sure if the local mechanics know whats possible. Maybe different rims?

    1. You drive through sh!t

    2. Sh!t gets sprayed up into the underbody and gets into the rims due their design

    3. You know it does this.

How am I doing? So far so good? Relax, Bertsta's gonna throw in the last piece of the puzzle for ya

    4. You take a hose and wash out that sh!t every once in a while.

Yes, you might look into different sized rims and tires that provide more clearance, and / or a lift kit and / or better mud flaps. You should also maker it a regimen to clean it often and set yourself up to do so with a heated sprayer with deicer fluid.
