How do i get over my mistrust of women?

Question

I have been cheated on twice and dumped in public.

Now i don't date any more, i haven't dated in almost 5 years now. I feel that women are selfish, shallow, materialistic and hypergamy. I feel that they just want to use men and then discard them or cheat as soon as better man comes around (or at least what they consider a batter man).

I know that this can not be true for all women, i understand that not all women are copies of each other, i am not stupid.

People tell me that i have just had bad luck and that i should keep trying. And i realize that, it is logical. Yet deep down, i can not help but have this fear, sometimes we can not simply brush our feelings aside with logic.

Dear Heart-broken Dude!

Welcome to this facility for the treatment of the broken hearts. Stay here for a while. And remember that you can leave any moment.

While you are here, I would like you to stay in my room. Which has a good view. My room has a lot of things to offer. As I no longer stay there, feel free to use my stuff.

I guess you don't like this place. Feel free to wreak the state of this room. Break everything what you feel you don't need. I say get a sledge hammer, and collapse this confinement.

Hmm, I change my mind. I want you to rebuild it. I don't want the same room. I want you to built it brick by brick. While you are at it, why don't you ask your friends to help you. You know what, design it in a way you like it.

I guess you can't figure out what to do with the room. Why don't you do something unique, something which you the person before wreaking my room won't do,  or even dare to do.

So is the room ready yet? I don't think so. I guess you will have to learn a lot of things to rebuilt the room. Sincerely what were you thinking ?

I want you to stop thinking what all have to say, hmm even me, if you want to. But listen to your heart.. Broooo!

Make a blueprint. Stick to the plan. And rebuilt the room asap.

If you have read the answer so far, after a while, you must realise that the room is nothing but the mental confinement of your thinking you are in. Challenge your thinking, do things which builds you again. Each brick that you use to rebuild the room, should be an idea, take some idea, highly recommend going through Yahoo contents, or TED talks from youtube, or any source you deem it fit.

Break your habits, reprogramme yourself. You will realise it is not hard, but rather just a perspective you never realised. Learn about the physical-mental health, heal yourself.

At this moment, your are your own guru, teacher, pupil, student, leader etc you can help yourself.

So go ahead build that room, as this is a prize for which you are worthy, forget what happen to you. Good things are just on your way.

I have been beaten, abandoned, married to a bigamist yet I still believe there are good men out there..no, I know there are.  I wouldn't let a handful of skunks convince me otherwise.  For every shoe there is a mate, you just haven't found yours.  Just look for signs early and get the hell out if you see them, thus avoiding any further pain.  Give a good woman the chance to prove herself, good luck to you!
