Please tell me what's going on with my belly button ring!?
I got my belly button pierced last Friday. I was at a friends for the weekend and did not have access to anything to clean it. I noticed the area was sore, understandably, but it started getting red. I got home and have been soaking in in saline solution and cleaning any crusties away with a soaked q-tip. I haven't been touching it much because I've done my research on what not to do. The swelling has gone done, and now it's only painful if I move the jewelry to clean it. I noticed though that underneath the top ball there's a ring, my skin is white and almost rubbed raw. The piercing site is also still red, more so on the top ball. All signs are pointing me to an infection or it's just irritated, because there's no pus besides a clear liquid on the piercing. Not sure if I'm freaking out over nothing, just needing advice!

As long as you are keeping it clean and there is no pus it is just taking time to heal.
