I'm selling one of my houses. Is it accurate to say it has hardwood floors?
The floors are made out a type of lumber called "Heart Pine." Pine is a softwood.
We are listing it as thus: "Floors on the first floor are of Heart Pine and have been refinished recently."

If it is heart pine then call it heart pine. That is a very good wood that many people like.

Heart Pine floors are gorgeous and an asset to any home! I’d definitely go with “Heart Pine flooring.”

If you're going to be untruthful about the floors, why don't you just tell everyone that you're selling them a brand new home and giving them a new car for buying it...

No, pine is not a hard wood. It is a soft wood. So, it would be accurate to note "the house has gleaming wood floors" in the real estate listing. People who see the listing photos will recognize that the floors are not hardwood...maybe not!!

I would assume that in that case it means a wood rather than a laminate and would be fine.
