This sort of thing can also happen when you get a mortgage with a spouse, then divorce and forget to refinance the mortgage and retitle the property, per your property settlement, then your ex-spouse claims bankruptcy putting the mortgage, and continued ownership, in jeopardy.

What is mtg, I assume you don't mean Magic The Gathering? Whose records are those? You might want to get a free credit report to see if it shows any incorrect information.
