Books are more detailed and show better what the characters are feeling and thinking. Guess I would first read the book and then play the video game and watch the movie and or series.

I first read a book and saw its movie. I didn't intend for that chronological order, it just happened to be that way. I saw someone reading a certain book multiple times..someone that sat next to me few times somewhere. I just had to read the book, I liked it a lot and liked the movie too.

I enjoy both. So it would depend on my mood at the time. I prefer to read the book and then see the movie later if I have the option.

Read the book. Books are almost always better.
