Avoidance is usually of great help.

Some landlords are good and some aren't. My current landlord is good, but I've had really bad landlords.

You can make it about you and think you are the problem, but if the landlord is a bad person, there's not much you can do other than avoiding him. I think it's a bit arrogant of bad landlords who get paid the rent on time and whose house you look after to treat you badly, but some really are crazy and unfortunately they are doing what they do.

Also, if you can redirect your mail elsewhere, perhaps better.
