It takes time, sometimes a number of years to get the illness stable but it can be done! So have patience, Do what the doctors and psychiatrists say and above all else take your meds.

Well, according to me, you should face your fears instead of running away from them. I had OCD, and this is how I brought it under control. Don’t know about Schizophrenia, but it should work.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the only One who is the Prince of Peace. Maybe you don't have Jesus dwelling in your heart Mark.
If not, repent of your sins, and cry out to Jesus and ask Him to come into your heart and save you. Th do what Jesus said if yo truly believe, go and be water baptized by full immersion in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit - that's the command from our Lord to baptize those who believe (Matthew 28:19).
Once Jesus has come into your heart, He will bring the peace which passes all understanding to keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. These things are not just automatic happenings. We have to initiate these things in our lives.
Jesus has done the dying for us, but we have to RECEIVE HIM. That's important. Otherwise, His gift of salvation lays idle and you don't have it, even if you think you do.

Stay on your meds. Keep going to the doctor until the effects are optimized.
