KYB make various models of shock absorbers. Depending which model you buy and comparing to how bad your old ones are will determine whether they help handling or not. If the original shocks are old and weak almost any brand of new ones will be an improvement.

No, Mark. Grow up. You need to work on a plan to upgrade YOURSELF. That will help with handling your future, which is much more important than your 2003 Honda Element.
If you really want to drive fast, go buy a used 2006 Pontiac GTO with a top speed of 175 miles per hour.

Depends on which vehicle you're referring to as well as the condition of the current shocks ( as well as the rest of the suspension ) on that vehicle...

KYB shocks will give you a stiffer ride and do help with handling.
If it's an American car or truck I'd use Monroe Spectrum struts or shocks.
