What is wrong with my new headlight Highbeams bulbs on my 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS V6?
I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS V6 and had the Highbeams Headlight Bulbs (HB3) replaced and now when I turn them on at night it seems that only one side (the leftside) projects and is visible. The right-side highbeams is on it is just not projecting forward or producing a beam of light like the left side. What can be wrong? Is it a bad bulb possibly?

We had common problems on earlier Galant's and Eclipse's.The bulb connector would melt and cause a bad contact to the bulb. Take the harness connector off of the bulb that's dim and check it. Napa sells replacement connectors that you can solder to the wiring but the wire color codes are different. You meed to test the old connector terminals and new connector terminals to hook them up correctly. You can't just look at the wiring as the new connector wiring is routed different then the stock connector.
You may just have a bad ground wire so do a bit of diagnosing.

Not installed into the housing correctly so it is not aligned with the optics.

Has the bulb been fitted upside down? The light source and the reflectors are not always symmetrical. If the bulb is the wrong way up, it will still work but won't light up the right area .... and it can dazzle oncoming traffic.
