Why do so many people post anonymously on here?

Many do it to troll/violate the rules and keep users from being able to block them.

Others do it to keep stalkers at bay, who tend to harass specific users.

Nobody is judging? You must be new here. A LOT of the users here make it a hobby to judge, ridicule, and insult. It's very sad, because sites like this are a microcosm of the offline world (which these days has far too many unkind people in it).

I've never used the anonymous flag ever. Lots of people judge and hate anywhere on the internet, including this site. I just don't let it get to me.

Why? My best guess or guesses are, Yahoo provide the facility giving users that choice. Some people (users) take up that choice and post anonymously. I honestly believe that kids enjoy doing it. ;-)

The VAST majority of trolls post anonymously.

They are cowards...they can block people but can't be blocked themselves. I think the anonymous feature should be stopped.

Evidently you've never been stalked by trolls before. I lost two Level 7 accounts because of trolls.

That's not enough. I had people stalking me simply because of who I am. So having a screen name and avatar makes it easy for them to target you and get you suspended.
