what are the logistics of caring for a pet armadillo?

To my know, they do fine independently so a single is fine.
As for keep, there are guides you can find on line by searching.
You are going to find they are not much a popular pet and your county may have provisions for their keep.
It is illegal to take them from the wild for pets, not to mention, cruel.
Note: they are also known vector animals of leprosy and host of other pathogens and you should do your homwork on their behavior to keep them from aggression and boredom.
If you don't know what you are doing, don't try keeping them.

You would first have to determine what they eat and if you could supply the food. I think they eat earth worms. They are natural diggers and will dig underneath anything. I don't think one would live in a wire cage where it can not dig. A cage is too disruptive to their nature. One is more than enough. A dozen would destroy all of your property.
