Should I post negative review about café online?

I recently had a bad experience at a café and I'm thinking about posting a Google review about it, but I'm a bit worried that because I'm still feeling sour from the experience that I'm being over dramatic and should just let it go. I don't want to go back to that same place again after my experience. It wasn't a really awful experience that made me go home in tears or anything, but it peeved me quite a bit and it's left me feeling like I should complain about it. However, I don't want to give this place a bad rep, even though I've read similar negative experiences about this place online. Should I post a review on my experience (I was thinking of giving it two out of five stars) or should I just leave it be, since I'm probably never going to go back there again?

Update:

Basically what happened was I was brought the wrong meal and another person (the owner or manager, I'm not sure) brusquely said sorry and whisked it away. They apologised to the customer who the meal was meant to go to but they didn't properly apologise to me, making me feel like it was my fault, even though I'd done nothing wrong. The customer got their meal and I got mine but by the time I got my meal I'd gone off it and just wanted to get out of there. I don't really want to go back again.

Best thing to do is to email the cafe directly.

Don't know why you are so upset over nothing. Are you always a snowflake? I would just forget about it. Save the negative reviews for actual bad food or service.

leave it. bad comments are best left to the moaners and axe grinders

You can do one of two things:

One is to just post the review

The other would be to to contact them and tell them what happened and see what response you get, if you are satisfied with their response, don't post the review, but if not then post it,and if it's a chain you could try contacting their corporate and tell them what happened.

i've had that happen. they brought me the wrong meal and i was so freaking hungry and only had 15 minutes for lunch, i ate it anyhow. they snipped at me and gave the other customer a refund but didn't offer me anything. it was fast food so i didn't really care

    < hat I'm being over dramatic >

< but it peeved me quite a bit >

I think the "over dramatic" is an excellent summary

Really sorry to hear you had an upsetting experience.

Perhaps contact them directly first explaining your visit and if you get an apology or explanation then don’t post it. You’re probably not the only person who’s has this encounter at this cafe.

If you get not response or acknowledgement of the situation then post a review. - I would do this, go to them first and see what they respond with before google review.
