It is impossible to list every place of interest in the city of Chicago, but you can do an internet search for "Chicago events" and "Chicago tourism," and get lots of information and ideas.

Warning: Do NOT bring a car into the city. Parking is nonexistent or outrageously overpriced. Downtown hotels will charge you $30-75 a night with no in-and-out privileges. Stay in a suburb and use public transportation.

The Miracle Mile is interesting if you like architecture and shopping.

i would also add an Architectural boat tour if it's weather appropriate. or even a segway tour of the city. i've done both of those and they're pretty neat.
