You have to do up the timed birthcharts for both, and look at the distances "synastry aspects" between her 10 planets and Ascendant, and his 10 planets and Ascendant.

IF the majority of the "synastry aspects" are harmonious, and the discordant aspects are not TOO destructive .. AND if both are emotionally-mature enough that each can work with their own inner emotions .. then it might work out well.

For relationships that are most likely to last, you want to see one person's Ascendant in a synastry conjunction or opposition to the other person's Sun or Moon or Venus or Mars. Without this, the relationship is either not likely to start or not likely to last.

For instance ... say her Scorpio Sun (which is probably what you mistakenly call her "zodiac sign") is at 2 degrees of Scorpio. It would conjunct anything in his birthchart that was between 24 Libra and 10 Scorpio.

So IF he had his Ascendant between 24 Libra and 10 Scorpio, this COULD be a lasting relationship. But NOT if his Ascendant was further along in Scorpio .. say at 20 degrees.

As for them both having Sun in the same Sign .. IF those two Suns are within 8 degrees of each other, there will be some competitiveness between them, which could be good OR could create bossiness and/or friction between them after a while. It depends on all the OTHER "synastry aspects" between their planets.

And if their two Suns are more than 8 degrees apart, even though both are in Scorpio, the Suns are too far apart to interact or have an impact.
