Agnostic thinking of converting to Quaker Christian or Hellenic polytheist, help!? How do I choose a religion?

The only reason to become a Christian is if you are really looking for the truth. Otherwise you won't be one anyway, so don't bother unless you are willing to let go of the world as you want to see it when new understanding becomes available.

I'm not saying you should 'believe' something you don't really believe, but don't treat Christianity like it is simply a chosen fairy tale.

Follow what you really believe is real if you want a religion. Follow what you want to believe is real and you will be delusional.

Catholicism is the One True Faith and a person can know this with certainty by reciting the rosary each day with care.

I like Unitarian. You have to be called for Christian.

Maybe Quaker is different?

Agnostic is really a person who believes that a god cannot be proven or disproven. Sometimes the term gets used in a wider sense about doubt. If you are going to choose a religion, it should be because you agree with their tenets and philosophies. You do not have to choose a religion at all. Many people now just don't believe in organized religion and its rituals.

I generally classify myself as a free thinker. I completely reject the Judao-Christian-Muslim concept of a deity as an entity to worship. Though aligned close to atheism, I now do not completely reject the concept of a consciousness of the universe called Panpsychism. Though I do not accept it as true, I encourage its scientific research. It is related to the Star Wars religion of a universal life force that might one day be tapped.

Quakers do believe in peace, but they are not alone in that tenet. You choose a religion based on its beliefs and a desire to associate with like minded people. Atheism has only one tenet "I don't believe in deities or the supernatural". I don't believe in deities or the supernatural, but some concepts of the supernatural could actually be a part of reality. It puts a hole in a claim of atheist where I don't dismiss a force controlling itself; not an entity with a force.

I think you should look into things a little more.

Humanism is a belief in the betterment of mankind where a God is irrelevant. It is pragmatic. Be good and do good things.

Cthulhu is the god worthy of worship.

The scriptures outline what the true religion is. Things to consider:

1.) Who focus on putting the interests of Jehovah God's kingdom first in their lives? (Matthew 6:33)

2. Who obey Jesus' command of preaching & teaching Biblical truths, and making disciples? (Matthew 28:19 & 20)

3. Who show that they love Jehovah God with all that they are? (Matthew 22:37)

4. Who truly shows love for neighbor(a.k.a. mankind in general)? (Matthew 22:38)

5. Who meet together regularly, discussing Bible truths and encouraging one another to do what's right? (Hebrews 10:24 & 25)

Whatever religion you find that does these things is the 1 to look out for.

Pick whichever one has proof of it's claims

Just pick one. Being the dilettante that you are you'll want to be the other one in about a year.
