Computer help out there???!!?

Bought an H.P computer through Amazon, seller is Avocado Premium P.C....I paid a professional of 30 years to set this computer up for me...would NOT turn on...battery, etc. is find, something internally is wrong....called Amazon, they refunded my $..Being its a H.P. stated it was new, you would THINK it was tested before it was shipped out...I am wondering if this was refurbished, is there a way to find out? I pay my computer guy to open it...could HE find out? Thank You Guys!!!

    Since you were refunded your money, why don't you simply go purchase another one?

    If it wasn't sold by HP, it was almost certainly refurbished. But even if it was new and tested before shipping, that wouldn't preclude it being broken by the time it arrived. RMAs exist for a reason. I don't know anything about '"your guy." If it was an easily solvable problem and he were capable of fixing it, I don't know why he wouldn't have done it already.
