Canon MG5420 Print head?

I have never messed with my printer, now it displays the 1403 error, incorrect print head install a correct one blah blah, I ve tried to remove the print head but it will not come out! At all! I followed the instructions online, remove the ink, pull the front cover out and slide it out, but it will not budge. Is there different instructions for the MG5420? Are you supposed to unscrew anything? Help!
