Could dead cows that had foot and mouth disease be fed to sharks, without harming the sharks?

Update:

Would the virus transfer to the shark?

Yes, it would not harm the shark. I don't think it would harm any marine animal.

It is highly contagious and the pathogen can be carried even on animals that cannot get sick with it. Humans for instance.

The danger from cows that are dead because of disease is contamination. People who handle or come into contact with them can be at risk. When they are moved around, the disease can find new hosts. The sharks do not need to be fed. They need to be protected from poachers.
