Lead poisoning in pet squirrel?

Yesterday she was acting abnormal running in circles looking up and raising her paw falling back and clumsy over all today she is just flaccid and floppy she is breathing and normal heart beat and I think it's lead poisoning cuz I spray painted her carrier cage and left it out for 4 days and she chewed on it and on the can it said if scrapped it could cause lead poisoning ps vets where I live don't specialise with exotic pets what do you guys think?

Who diagnosed the lead poisoning, certainly no doctor. There would not be enough lead in all the paint on the carrier to cause poisoning, and modern paints contain so little as not to be significant.

Your squirrel is suffering some other serious condition, and should have been looked at by a qualified vet 'yesterday' when these unknown symptoms first showed.

Where you live is a copout,,you look for an exotic vet elsewhere if none locally.

Try local rehabbers, they know vets to treat such animals.

There is no lead in modern day spray paints. Clearly something else toxic may have gotten in it's system.

She needs to see an exotic vet or she could die. They are not that difficult to find, most places that see cats and dogs will alsp have a specialist for exotics and small animals, though you may need to contact a few vets before you find one. If left untreated he could die.

You have multiple mental health issues including trespassing on other people's property to "catch and relocate" squirrels.

You can't trap squirrels and turn them into pets in MY State.

Yes, you are responsible for this squirrel's health issue and probably for its death.

    Feel like the man?
