Does aspirin affect the results of PT/INR?

Referring to the PT/INR blood test.

    while aspirin mainly affects platelet aggregation, (not the clotting cascade) it appears from the literature it can also affect to some degree the INR

    The side effect of aspirin are heart attacks and strokes - I wonder that people still use it.
