Is this considered a broken hymen? Will the gyno think i am not a virgin?

My mom wants to take me to the gyno to “confirm that i’m a virgin” & while i was under the impression that this virginity test wasn’t a real thing i realize that the gyno could just check to see if my hymen is still intact. & i can still see my hymen when i look, but i have used tampons before and i’ve fingered myself before so there are like 2 small holes in my hymen. What would a gyno think when seeing that? bc i dont want her to think that i am not infact a virgin.

Why is your mother concerned that you're a virgin, how old are you, and what religion does your family practice?  These questions are directed toward thinking your parents are from an area of the world that still arranges marriages on the premise that the bride has to be "pure" or else she can be stoned to death.  You didn't mention whether your gyno is female or not.  If she is, that's another clue.

Just because your hymen is no longer possibly totally intact means absolutely nothing. A hymen can be torn by doing sporting events, especially gymnastics.  Some girls even tear it during bike riding, doing splits as a cheerleader, etc.  The doctor or nurse will not think it odd to see a partially torn or even totally torn hymen and not mention it to the parent as a possibility of losing virginity. They don't care to speculate.

I find it hard to imagine that any responsible gynocologist would give an opinion on whether a girl is a virgin by looking at her vulva.  Why would your mother think of such a thing?  Is she setting you up for an arranged marriage?

Gynecologists aren't there to judge people.  Do you know our hymens can break from simply riding a bicycle when we are young or doing sports like acrobatics?  Along with this, some girls are born without a hymen.

I'm not sure what is wrong with your  mother... is she psycho or what?  That's ridiculous behavior on your mother's part.  yikes.

Tell the gyno about your use of tampons, she must know this is often the cause of broken hymens. At least, I think so, but I'm a guy. However, my wife was a virgin (her parents were strict), and her's was broken before we married, so........

She can't force you to do that regardless. Tell her you don't a stranger looking at your vagina. It's none of her business.
