    1st : y = tan Θ in the integration.....get to sec³ Θ dΘ...

    22nd : integration by parts

    3rd : sec Θ = cos Θ / [ 1 - sin² Θ ]

    4th : w = sin Θ yields 1 / [ 1 - w²] dw

    5th : partial fractions A / [ 1 - w ] + B / [ 1 + w ]....do the integration

Sketch the curve. Its a "bowl" sideways. y goes from what to what ? [thats a highschool question]

So integrate your √(1+y²) dy on that range hinted above.

You aren't gonna pass math unless you read the damn text book. Cheating on homework won't help you in tests. And that's most of your grade right there. Take it from someone who failed classes and dropped out of school, there is not easy way. So you either make the effort to learn this bullsh*t, or you move onto something else. I'm not gonna tell you which one to choose. I just don't want you to lose precious years of life like I did.
