Inheritance? Ha! My family is so poor, when my “rich” Aunt died, I owed her $20.00.

My parents wills were quite explicit and very well executed.

Our family lawyer (whom I still use) got me through the process quite easily. My Dad had kept most of his wealth offshore so taxes were minimal.

Heck yeah. My baby sister with my dad.

I live in Florida and my sister lives in Georgia. Our mom died about 10 years to the day before our dad, who was living in South Carolina.

I would call dad every so often to check up and see how he was doing. Several months before he died in 2014, a month after his 83rd birthday, I called as usual and wouldn't get an answer from him. I called my sister and she said dad was visiting this relative or that relative. Had no reason to think my sister was lying. I kept trying to call dad and still nothing.

Finally my sister calls me one afternoon and said that dad was dead. And that the funeral was being held THAT AFTERNOON. WHAT THE F*CK? I asked what the hell was going on and how did dad die? She claimed he had a sudden heart attack.

I found out that the REAL reason why I couldn't get in contact with dad was because he was in hospice from colon cancer, and that he was in Georgia all that time with my sister, who is a nurse.

I knew dad had issues with his prostate, but neither he nor she told me he had colon cancer.

She waited until the afternoon of the funeral to tell me about dad because she knew I wouldn't be able to make it up to the funeral right then.

I found out that dad DID have a will that includes all of us, but she came up with a new will claiming that dad left EVERYTHING (some acres of land, a few hundred thousand dollars, his purple heart from the Korean War, a few cars) to her. The signature on the will was definitely forged. I had dad's signature on the previous will and other documents with his signature and it looked ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the signature on this new "will" at all.

My brothers and I tried fighting it in court, but the judge sided with my sister and her husband who is a lawyer. I've heard that her husband also screwed his siblings out of inheritance.

I now have nothing to do or say to my sister and I don't want her at my funeral if I die before she does.

No, but we had a problem between my dad's 2 younger brothers, not being happy because my one uncle M wanted to keep a over $1mil farm and have the same amount of money as my other uncle J. Uncle J wanted to sell the farm and split the money, but uncle M didn't want to. They are twins and my uncle M was already living on the farm before my Avo passed away, so he thought it was fair to keep the farm eventhough it was my avo's. This was about 7 or 8 years ago. They still don't talk to each other... :/
