how many agree that all muslims and non-muslims should read the quran and hadiths?

as I read these books I took more that 200 pages of notes. from reading the quran and hadiths I found mohammad to be one of the evilist persons I have ever read about. he was a thief, a robber. a rapist and a murderer. so how is it possible that a god would want him as his prophet? a simple google search will post exactly what the quran and hadiths says about mohammad and how evil he was. so why shouldn't people learn about what they worship?

What you are saying is really in line with the words of satan, who is hell dweller ,then being burnt together with his intimates as you are , eternally.

if you read books that put Mohammad as a thief, robber, rapist and murderer, then you were reading books written by non muslims to put a bad name on Islam... I certainly wouldnt learn Christianity (or any other faith) from books written by other faithed than the one im learning about,, i wouldnt read "the bible explained" by a buddist... or "the torah explained" by an athiest.. so why read hadeeths or interpretations of the quran written by non muslims to make you believe such awful things.. God doesnt choose bad men to be prophets,, Mohammed was none of those things.. I pray you find guideance and read proper documents on his wonderful life

All schools should make it compulsory for students to read the satanic verses, so they have a real understanding of what Islam is really about

Two reasons, muslim are tribal, 2nd they are indoctrinated from birth and have no idea how a true prophet of god behaves

what i know of the evil that is islam comes from interactions with muslims.... in their own countries... on their streets ... in their homes... and in their mosques.... I did read the koran in English... and have had instruction from muslims..... but I learned the truth of islam from personal observation............IMO....every trace of the evil that is islam should be wiped from the face of the earth

The truth of islam is available to all who have free access to honest news media.... and on the internet

Salami. I did a brief door-to-door survey and found that 27 out of 263 people agreed that Muslims and non-Muslims should read the Quran and hadiths.

The percentage of Muslims in wealthy countries that have read the Quran is very high.

I have read the translation, and to be honest it makes the Bible look semi-coherent (which is a task in itself). It's certainly not a text that is likely to convert the reader to Islam!

According to Muslims the Qur'an can't be properly understood unless it's read in the original Arabic. The conclusions we as non-Arabic speakers reach are unreliable and some interpretations (they're not translations according to Muslims) of the Qur'an are motivated by attempts to make it seem evil. On the whole, I'm pretty sure Muslims are encouraged to learn their sacred texts thoroughly.

I have read some hadiths and the whole of the Qur'an in English, and a little in Arabic. I have to agree with your assessment as it stands. It reminds me of Isaiah and the Psalms, and the general aggressive atmosphere of much of the Tanakh. But this is a provisional understanding and I won't know unless I learn Arabic.
