How to get into acting?

You have to attend a school and learn how to act. You would have no chance just turning up to auditions.

I don't know where Cali is, but the cost of living in California is about $2,000 per month minimum for what I would consider slum living. Be sure to bring at least six months living expenses with you to get yourself settled before you find your first minimum wage job. Once you're living hand-to-mouth in your one-room walk-up, you can start attending cattle calls - (Oops, I mean "auditions") with the tens of thousands of other untrained hopefuls who think they have stardom in their future.

Surely there are acting schools where you can get recommended and thus move on.
