It's a bad idea, I would not do that.

Depends on how much you can

    sell them for

It’s advisable to run a credit check or you’re setting yourself up for failure: dodging rent, or the hassle of the eviction process.

Maybe, depending on how thorough or desperate your landlord is to rent out the place. I don't recommend you do that because your roommate might skip out on you, leaving you to pay for everything. If you share an apartment, make sure ALL of the roommates have their names on the lease, not just you.

you sure can, but whhhhhhhhhhhhhy would you want to? leases can be legally binding, and if your roommate fails to pay their half........YOU get jammed up . I would not rent an apartment with someone who can't manage their money like an adult.

Reality check: share a bank account with them for six months before you do that and see how that goes before you decide to do anything else.

You ''can'' but would you want to ?

If they have bad credit then you may have to be the one who 'officially' pays the rent .. and then you'd have to trust them to cough up their half.

You can and you won't always end up getting screwed like the other person said. People might go through one bad phase in their life and that lowers their credit but that has nothing to do with them being willing and able to pay their rent .
