Hi. I'm a casual linux user Myself so I stick with versions of Puppy mostly.
However, if You have an available harddrive floating around of about 40-60Gbs then why not.
According to the Distrowatch community it's averaged a 9.3 rating across 122 reviews.

And I say if there'a distro that can run in live mode then trying it costs a total of less than an American quarter for a blank disc in a 100 pk spindle.

Are you familiar with Linux distros? Are you adept at writing commands in the terminal? There are three or four distros that are fairly easy for a Windows user to change over to. I use Zorin. Peppermint is popular, as is Linux Mint.
