What he said was: Please help me investigate any possible 2016 election interference and look into the Hunter Biden/Burisma situation because something about it does not look right. For instance, the roundabout money transfers via Latvia and Cyprus. It reeks of money laundering and the fact that his father blackmailed Ukraine to get the prosecutor fired was also suspicious.

The difference between paraphrasing and lies seems lost on the Trump Trolls here. Those of us who have tried to understand the way Trump mangles words have often felt the need to paraphase.

Yes, it's completely different. If the transcript on its own was so damning, people like Schiff wouldn't need to rewrite it.

I realize you want to read extortion or quid pro quo into it, but for those of us in the real world, IT'S NOT THERE.

it matches pretty close to what was actually said

"the United States has been very very good to Ukraine. I wouldn't say that it's reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good but the United States has been very very good to Ukraine." followed by "I would like you to do us a favor"

Trump then goes on to ask the President of the Ukraine to find the DNC server from 2016, which is bat sh!t crazy that he even thinks Ukraine has this server this is his first "favor", then he asks for his second "favor" when he says

"The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great." Trump then goes on in the call to ask him to investigate Joe Biden and his son 5 more times

To anyone with a functioning cerebral cortex the first sentence lets you know it is an interpretation, not a quote or a misquote.  The charge of him lying is beyond stupid.

Nobody is defending Schiff's choice here. What he said is inconsequential and can't be used as any sort of evidence in an impeachment inquiry. Republicans need to stop deflecting and own up to what their "leader" has done and is doing.

Schiff is a jackass. We all have the TRANSCRIPT of the ENTIRE CONVERSATION and this tool decides to paraphrase a complete FICTION. He can go f#ck himself along with the entire DNC.
