Mice in applesauce freezer?
I took the advice of a nice person on here and put my applesauce in my freezer a few years ago. The mice had taken it out for a while, but my dogs took them out and the freezer started working again. Now I'm worried that the mice are back. My dogs keep trying to bite the bottom of the freezer, which usually means vermin for sure. But maybe they've just caught on to all of the applesauce in there? I'm storing A LOT of applesauce, so I can't risk another outage. Last time I had to re-boil the applesauce every day for weeks to keep it from getting nasty. Do I need to get new dogs that don't know about the applesauce?

I still haven't gotten any answers, and I'm sick of boiling the sauce. So I'll answer it myself. Yes, you have to get new dogs. Get the old ones out of there and get some that don't know about the sauce. Hopefully someone out there learns from this.
