Morally if someone’s breaking the law no matter how small you can (and should?) report it?

I’ve gotten into a huge argument on our Facebook community because I want to file a noise complaint and call the non emergent police line to report my neighbors shooting off fireworks for every football game. They told me I was being a stickler but these are the same people who call the cops on everything else. So technically yes I can call the cops and morally it’s ok? To add: the fireworks cause me and many others severe anxiety and it’s also causing issue with peoples pets

Fireworks are illegal here- Washington state other than the Fourth of July and even then they aren’t legal everywhere

I believe it's a citizen's job to report anyone who breaks the law. As for fireworks if they are illegal then yes you report. Felonious Monkey makes a good point too. You have to make sure an actual law is being broken

If fireworks are legal in your county there's not much you can do. However, if the smoke is intruding into your house, or if you can prove the existence of medical problems resulting from your neighbor's use of fireworks (i.e. tinnitus, panic attacks, etc), then you might have a civil case.
