how is racism going to be stopped in football?

Social media is a good starting point. All clubs should have an action against racism hotline whereby an easy system of anonymous or otherwise reporting of incidents is available both inside and outside the ground. If the clubs are made aware of potential trouble makers inside the ground it will make it easier for the culprits to be monitored and then ejected from the ground if sufficient evidence is accrued as to their guilt. Multiple reports would be a key indicator and negate any malicious false ones.

If racists think they are going to be reported silently by observers it will make them think twice about doing it in the first place. After all, why should decent and loyal supporters have to suffer that kind of spoiling of their enjoyment of the occasion?

Many have witnessed such behavior. The difficulty comes if the thugs responsible are actually challenged so a silent reporting method is much better.

Ryan is right; its not a football thing. If all the black players are really that upset about the monkey noises and bananas been thrown onto pitches-they should stop playing and watch games instead.BUT, getting paid £300k a week has obvious attractions and i would put up with it EVEN if my name was Dimitrious - aka KC

it's not unless somehow we manage to kurb it in society, where it's been going on for hundreds of years, there will be some that will always be racist...only possible quick fix i can see, is to ban ANYBODY seen actively being racist inside the ground,,, and i mean a lifetime ban, no ifs no butts just out......that won't solve it but it at least signals to these racist, that, the rest of society is serious, that should have a significant impact at the very least, though @Ryan is right, there is an almost artificial concern about it these days, and it's because of the prestige and image of the game, when it should be about social justice and universal inclusion,

Very difficult as the racists are not real fans: they are primarily there to take advantage of being in the limelight to spew their hatred. Many of them infiltrate public demonstrations to create trouble. 

Start docking points in league matches and forfeit matches in cups. Soon real fans would kick out the racists as their team would suffer.

Wtf is this racism in football thing? That's the least of our worries. You can get acid thrown in your face in London for being brown that has nothing to do with football. You can get overlooked for jobs if you're a non white just cuz you're not white. Treated different at schools. Chants in a football stadium just arent this severe. You want it out of the game but not society then? Or is the football just more important and getting racism out there is the priority?
