    The Brain. Average weight is 1500 g. About the same weight as the Liver.

    Skin accounts for 8% ±2% of body weight.  A 170 pound person may have 10 to 17 pounds of skin.  The second heaviest organ, the intestines, measures about one-third to one-half of the skin mass.

    Lôn comments, "Wrong....the liver is the largest internal organ", overlooking that Tony's criteria is simply "organ", not "internal organ".  Without the incorrect restriction, skin has the greatest mass by far.  Even with the restriction, however, the intestines outweigh the liver greater than 2-to-1.
