Why do the Chinese eat dogs?

It's in their culture to do so. And although it's not true of all Chinese, they don't regard dogs as pets.

You could have found these sites if you had of googled your question. There is a lot to say about all the different cultures. I don't like the idea of eating insects either.

Same reason we eat cows and sheep and Pigs.

Its not so much that the Chinese eat dogs, its the way they are killed that is the big issue for most people.

The yearly dog meat festival is horrific. They steal pets and thousands of dogs are killed. The idea is that dog meat will make a man more virile and sexy. BUT the dogs must be tortured to make the meat special and the more horrible the torture and the longer it lasts the more they can charge for the meat. It's a horror.
