    The Malinois (Belgian Shepherd Dog)

Or indeed, any other full working bred breed, if all they want is a pet dog to tale short walks and cuddle with.

Any dog on the bsl list.

The average person don't know enough about canine behavior to handle some of the stronger temperamented dogs. Most don't much about the ones they have.

Belgian Malinois - I rescued one blindly who was gonna get euthanized at the shelter at 9mo because some frat guys wanted to have a big tough dog, didn't know how to train the dog, much less have the time and she ended up with severe aggression issues. I put in a ridiculous amount of work to give her a good life with my other german shepherd and sleep with one eye open due to her aggression issues with other people. Spent $100 of dollars on her. Smartest dog in the world. These are the sweetest most amazing dogs, but you need to have a LARGE amount of knowlege, time, material and space. Most of all KNOW how to HANDLE them.

There are MANY high energy (and oddly, often linked - high intelligence) working or sporting breeds or highly aggressive/protective breeds... the average pet owner does not have the experience, energy or TIME for. There is NO "ONE" specific breed.

    The Saluki, very difficult dogs...

Most of the working breeds too, need work and mental stimulation...

Dogo Argentino, they can be excellent pets but do require a owner with experience handling strong independent breeds,,, not a dog for your townhouse suburban crowd.

I personally don't think this should be related to breed. There are good and bad in ALL breeds. There are however, some breeds that may well be more of a challenge to a novice owner than others. If you are considering a certain breed locate a reputable breeder, usually best via the relevant Breed Club, and by appointment go visit Good breeders should find time to sit with prospective owners and answer all their questions, putting forward the cons in their breed first - if you are still 'with them', then move onto the pros.
