Why California most popular destination for vacation?

There is a huge diversity of things to do/see in CA so pretty much something for everyone. From some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the world (Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Big Sur area, etc) to beautiful beaches. The cities of SF and LA (even SD) are great for people that like cities. There are amusement parks of course like Disneyland, Universal, etc. Of course Hollywood is a draw for people who are start struck and much of California has been seen in movies that are seen around the world. And don't forget the weather....for vacation in the summer months it almost never rains so you won't get a vacation that is "washed" out.

There are lots of reasons, some described below. But its not THE most popular destination, as someone amply demonstrated. Further, lots of folks have LEFT california for other parts, for many reasons, I having been one of them.

California a glamorous place because of Hollywood, Disneyland, and the Golden Gate Bridge. 

There are nature, huge beach and a warm climate. Time is slow and kind people. That is reason why there popular for vacation, I think. I want to go there~~~

What makes you think it is? The most visited private home in the US is the White House. The second is Elvis Presley's Graceland. Excluding the people already in California, there's more concentration of people along the east coast, and they are more likely to go to New York or Florida.

The rest of America considers California a glamorous place because of Hollywood, Disneyland, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Also there's Yosemite and Death Valley.

Because they won't send you home if you overstay your welcome.
